The Electro-Voice Sx80T is a compact, two-way, high-efficiency, constant-directivity speaker system for sound reinforcement and monitoring.
The small size, high sensitivity and high power-handling capacity of the Sx80T make it an excellent choice for use in studios, clubs, bars, theaters or other applications. An internal, 60-watt line trans-former with selectable taps allows easy connection to 70-volt or 100-volt speaker in distributed systems.
Through extensive use of computer-aided design and modeling, Electro-Voice engineers have developed a state-of-the-art professional loudspeaker system.
The high-frequency section of the Sx80T utilizes a molded-in 90° x 65° constant-directivity horn. This unique pattern contributes to high intelligibility and aims the speakers output where it is most useful. Vocals sound natural yet "cut through" in reverberant, noisy rooms.
In addition, the coverage pat-tern is unusually uniform over its range of operation.
The horn's unique, VariPath TM throat geometry helps direct driver output to the corners of the room, to points of cover-age not described in the usual specifications not receive the strongest coverage.

Why choose powered loudspeakers?
The powered speaker has become a staple for mobile DJs, musicians and AV professionals alike. The simplicity and scalability of these systems is the big draw. After all, what could be easier than just connecting the output of your DJ or live sound mixer directly to the speaker and turning everything on? For those who have been reluctant to join the powered speaker party because you felt that powered speaker amplification fell short of rack-mount amp quality, you are officially out of excuses.
Why choose QSC's HPR Series?
There's a QSC amplifier inside each HPR
Now you can get the legendary performance and reliability of QSC's rack mount amplifiers built into a powered loudspeaker. The power module is designed with the same top-quality components and rigorous standards you expect from any QSC amplifier. QSC is regarded as one of the leading amplifier manufacturers in the world. We have over 35 years experience making professional-grade amplifiers. When you buy an HPR Series powered loudspeaker, you know it is backed by the QSC quality and reliability you've come to expect.
Discrete component designs
Many powered speaker amplifier modules use low-cost, consumer-grade "chip amps" to decrease costs and simplify design. The HPR Series features a professional, discrete component design, hardened to withstand abuse and engineered to deliver the best possible performance even when pushed to the limit.
Signal Processing
An advantage of powered speakers is that the design engineers know everything about the system. This means that all the signal processing - crossover frequencies and slopes, EQ transfer functions, phase corrections and limiting - can be precisely tailored.
Multi-Band Limiting
Nothing kills speaker drivers faster than clipping, which happens when an amplifier is driven too hard. At best, this clipping will be annoying to listeners. At worst it may burn up the speaker voice-coils.
The HPR series protects itself (and your performance) through the use of active Multi-Band Limiting that detects excess level at each amplifier channel before clipping occurs. Then dynamic peak limiting is applied to the overall signal. The limiting parameters have been carefully set to maintain overall frequency balance and minimize audible "pumping". You will probably need to watch the rear panel LIMIT LED to even know that limiting is taking place. The result - your HPR system delivers clean, undistorted sound even when you push it hard.
The new BR-Series from Yamaha combines affordability with high performance.
Five BR models are designed to fit the budgets of performing musicians, small churches, and schools, while delivering the full frequency response and high output of more costly systems. Although their "BR" prefix was chosen to represent "bass reflex," it also proves very appropriate for describing the line's advanced feature set...
Built Right...Combining our knowledge of acoustics and advanced computer controlled woodworking, Yamaha crafts the BR line of sound reinforcement loudspeakers for both great sound and affordability. High power woofers provide amazing punch, and a pure titanium 1" compression driver assures excellent high frequency performance. Each model's large steel handles, corner protectors, and built-in pole sockets, assure both durability and flexibility.
Better Response...BR cabinets are carefully designed for the best balance of small, easy to handle size and great low-frequency response, using Bass Reflex technology. High-frequency response is also enhanced with a new titanium HF driver and 90° by 40° non-resonant horn.
Best Reliability...All BR-Series models are covered by a three-year warranty. With integral protection circuitry built into the passive crossover, you can expect a long life of high output and minimal distortion.
Whichever model you choose, your message is sure to be heard using BR-Series loudspeakers...and you can take the savings to the bank!
A large non-resonant, constant-directivity horn provides even 90° x 40° high-frequency dispersion.
Steel corner protectors keep your cabinets free from dings and damage associated with frequent transport.
Large metal handles mounted at each cabinet's center of gravity make them very easy to carry.
And now you have a choice of two ways to get there! Yamaha’s STAGEPAS 300
has already become the portable PA system of choice for legions of musicians
on the move, and now the STAGEPAS 500 is available for situations in which
a little extra power and channel capacity is needed.
The basics remain the same: an incredibly lightweight, portable, easy-to-use
PA system consisting of a pair of high-performance speakers with a built-in
powered mixer. You can be set up and playing in a matter of minutes, and then
packed away and on the road again with the same ease and speed when you’re
done. And all of this is provided with no compromise in sound quality or
versatility, plus some advanced features you normally wouldn’t expect to find
in systems in this class.
Getting great sound for live performance used to be a big deal. Now all you need
is a STAGEPAS 300 or STAGEPAS 500! Whichever system you choose, you have
a high-performance live-sound system that will deliver your music or message
wherever you go, indoors or out.
