                           Roger began taking guitar lessons at the age of 11 and with his brother Don began appearing on the Southern Jamboree on radio station WSLR in 1966. A talent contest at Lamar Lake led Roger and Don to Gus Thomas and the WWVA Jamboree and their first performance there in 1968. A later date in 1971 led Roger to join the staff band “The Wheelers.” Roger later became the Bandleader of “Country Roads” until he left the Jamboree in 1976. Moving to the Pittsburgh area, he played in bands Penn Station, Jester and CrackerJack. He then became involved in Radio and TV jingles including Alcoa, Detroit Diesel and various others. In 1979, he moved to Los Angeles and worked with Jimmy Stafford appearing on the “Tonight Show” and various LA clubs. Moving back into the area in 1980 he formed the Other Brothers band in 1982 with Jamie Peck, Dennis Fitzpatrick and Don Hoard. They became the Jamboree USA Staff Band in 1983 and the 11/70 band after that until 2006. Roger has been the featured guitarist with B. E. Taylor for 5 years and continues to tour with B. E. and “The Fabulous Bender Boys” in addition to playing solo guitar in the area. Roger was also Jamboree USA and Jamboree in the Hills Musical Director from 1989-1998. Roger has been a member of C. A. House Music’s combo department for 27 years, and is currently a co-manager of that department.

Eric began playing guitar at age 16 with an immediate desire to do it for a living. His first guitar was given to him Christmas day 1991 and after only 2 weeks of playing he started teaching the instrument.In addition to being our combo co-manager, he is the professional guitar tech for "Dr. Scary" of the rock band "Tongue N'Cheek. He is a Kramer guitar collector and is also endorsed by Kramer Guitars. He has shared the stage with such national acts as Firehouse, Steve Pearcy and Wild Street. Just recently Eric was the lead guitar player for Kip Winger in his back up band and played at First Niagra Pavilion in support of Journey, Foreigner and Night Ranger. He also owns the recording studio "Scary Studios" in Weirton WV. Eric also plays Bass and drums and is committed to take whatever time is necessary to make sure the customer is matched with the instrument that best fits their needs!

Matt is the newest addition to the CA House family working in the combo department. Matt is a bass guitar player, currently with the Soul Groove Orchestra. He was the former bassist for Adrian Niles Band and has shared the stage with blues legends Dave Mason, John Mayall and Los Lonely Boys. In his spare time Matt enjoys playing music and spending time with his wife and kids.

For the past three and a half years, “T-Bone” has been entrusted to repair guitars, banjos, basses and other stringed instruments brought into C. A. House Music. Often, he's called upon in desperate times. Guitarists set to take the stage in only hours have sought his service in mending an ailing axe. He Enjoys spending time with his family and playing music often. His talents aside from repair include playing the Guitar, Bass and Drums.          
If your guitar, mandolin or lap steel needs attention, take it to T-Bone. He also performs routine adjustments and other regular maintenance work on those instruments. Tim Brown is the best repair man in the Ohio Valley, and you can only find him at C. A. House Music.

John attended West Liberty University (formerly West Liberty State College), where he earned degrees in chemistry and music education. John has been with C. A. House for 6 years, and is the Band Section Manager. He has performed on soprano through bass saxophones for over 25 years. He played alto saxophone in the Island Saxophone Quartet and also the New Day Saxophone Quartet.  He has studied with Barbara Levoch, Janet Bemiss, Dennis Fisher, Curtis Johnson, Dr. Nels Leonard, and Carina Raschér.

Jim “The Organ Man!” Gorby graduated from West Liberty University with a dual major in music education and  business management. He plays a wide variety of instruments including piano, organ, keyboard, guitar, banjo and most woodwind and brass instruments. He has played in various bands including gospel, country, top 40 and dance bands. Jim loves teaching and helping others reach their full musical potential. Jim holds weekly organ lessons




 


Pam at CA House Music

Pam Mencer has been with C. A. House for 1 year.  She attended West Liberty State College studying Music education with a specialization in percussion for two years before becoming a full time mother.  She later graduated from Wheeling Jesuit University with a Bachelors Degree in Business Management and a minor in Accounting.  Pam has played drums for over 20 years.  She performed with Ovations Youth Orchestra, the Wheeling Symphony Orchestra Side-by-Side-by-Symphony program, and WLSC Steel Drum Band and Percussion Ensembles to name a few.  She has also given private lessons.  She studied with local celebrity drummers such as Tim Seidler, Ron Rose, and Mark Williams.

Matt Paree has been with C. A. House Music for 5 years as the Inventory Control/Computer Systems Manager. Matt graduated from West Liberty University with a degree in Business Administration and a specialization in Computer Information Systems. Matt played the trumpet in the West Liberty University band and enjoys sound mixing in his spare time. He also enjoys bicycling and gardening.



Justin at CA House Music

            Justin’s area of expertise is sound design and installation. Justin has run sound for numerous local and national bands including Joe Zelek, Katie Orlofski, Jamboree in the Hills and Marilyn Manson. Justin has been with C. A. House Music for 3 years as part of the C. A. House sound installation team. He plays the drums and enjoys fishing, dirt bikes and snowboarding. He also owns his own sound company “Sound of Satisfaction” which gives him an innate knowledge of the requirements of individual and venue sound installation.



RaeAnn at CA House Music


Rae Ann Shepherd has worked for C.A. House for over two years in the Accounts Payable department. She is also known for coordinating the schedules and welcoming new employees. Rae Ann resides in Barnesville with her husband and two children. She is president of the Barnesville Area Education Foundation. She enjoys movies, music and spending time with family and friends.

Lorie has been with C. A. House Music for over a year. She works in the main office as the lesson and stage coordinator and in the accounts receivable department. She graduated from Ohio University with a degree in Business. She is married with three children. Lorie plays the guitar and sings in her spare time. She is also active with the St. Clairsville Soccer Association, Marcie’s Militia, and The Experience. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, attending concerts, and drinking McDonald’s Sweet Tea.

Jennie has worked in the C. A. House main office for the past two years. She is a graduate of Harding University, and has previously worked as an elementary teacher, private piano instructor, and as a local business bookkeeper. She does volunteer work as a bookkeeper for the West Virginia School of Preaching, and is a Bible class teacher. Jennie has two children and two grandchildren. She enjoys traveling and golfing with her husband, shopping with her daughter, and playing with her grandchildren.







Rachel at CA House Music

Rachel has been working in our combo department since November 2010 and is proud to be part of the C.A. House family. Rachel has had a lifelong passion for music and played the clarinet when she was young. Rachel's other passion is performing. She has been a part of the local theater community for nearly 20 years and has performed at Towngate theater, Capitol theater, The Cornerstone Project and at O.U.E. Some of her most notable roles have been in Sylvia, A Midsummer's Night Dream, Barefoot in the Park, Born Yesterday and Educating Rita. In 2004, representing the Strand theater, she won the best supporting actress award for her role in the one-act play, Visitors at the Southeastern Theater Conference in Chattanooga, TN. She toured with Oglebay Institute's Children show from 2004-2007 and was an original member of the comedy troop Company B. You may also recognize her voice on several of the C.A. House commercials. Rachel lives in Wheeling with her incredibly talented husband, Tim and their beautiful daughter, Grace.
